Navigation Locks & Dams
In 1991, Glosten developed collision loads for the design of the fixed and floating components of the upstream guidewalls at the Bonneville Locks on the Columbia River. Glosten undertook similar work for the new Olmsted Locks on the Ohio River and for locks on the Kentucky and Kanawha Rivers. Our work enabled the client to significantly reduce the complexity and cost of the structures. This work has led to our support of numerous civil firms and the U.S. Army Corps on locks and dams throughout the country.
