GSSP
GSSP is a customized software program designed to assist operating personnel in the calculation and evaluation of vessel stability. The program is based on the methods and operating instructions contained in the vessel’s trim and stability book and stability letter.
Program Description
The programs user interface simplifies trim and stability calculations for the master. The master inputs the load description, and the program’s stability condition / evaluation module performs the calculations. The load description module provides a system to specify tank content, solid loads (stores, payload, etc.), and ice accumulation.
The stability condition / evaluation module automatically calculates and displays the vessels condition (weight and centers, free surface correction, hydrostatic data, as well as the vessel draft and trim) and evaluates the current condition with a series of comments, cautions, and warnings. The current results are always visible in a continuously updated status bar across the bottom of the screen.
The program consists of a series of graphic displays and spreadsheets for data entry. Display screens include: list of stored load conditions, tank condition display, solid condition display, icing load editor, and solution summary. Online help can be displayed at any time.
Features
